/ Readme for the TWHLmix map \

 1. TWHLmix, what the heck? /
/
  - TWHLmix was meant to be a collaborate map, that many would mappers contribute to.
  - BrattyLord started the whole thing in his 'I got an idea' thread, over one year ago.
  - Every participant built his room, added it to the map and then gave it to the next one.
  - The restrictions were simple: Leave the other people's rooms alone and use only original
    Half-Life stuff. All textures/models/sounds/sprites you see, hear and smell are from the
    basic pak0.pak.
  - Then things came together. Sometimes slower, sometimes faster.
  - After a while, it was just rudely ended and released.


 2. Requirements /
/
  - The maximum r_speeds lie at < 1300 wpolies, but there are no fights in this area.
  - Half-Life 1.1.1.0 (older versions should work too)
  - A GeForce 2MX, a 400Mhz CPU and 128MB RAM should be enough.
  - Don't even try playing in Software Mode, it looks terrible.


 3. Know Bugs and tips for playing /
/
  - Unzip the archive-content over your 'Half-Life/valve' directory.
    !!!Backup the titles.txt before!!!
  - To play the maps, run Half-Life with the console and start it with 'map twhlmix1'
  - Every participant was fully responsible for the playability of his part and had to make
    sure that the map works as well he thinks it necessary. Still it is advised that you keep
    your noclip-keys lubricated. ;)
  - Take your time. Since the maps were created by very many people, it was not possible to
    create super-complex fights and long shooting-rampages. Instead there might be something to
    look at and play with, every here and there. So don't run through the maps, looking for
    the next squad of soldiers. You won't find any.

    I'm BrattyLord. I came up with this idea, and put it in full fledge.
    TWHLmix was a project started over a year ago by me. The thread was entitled
    "I got an Idea". Though it was just an idea at first, it evolved into this map we have
    here today. Thanks to Ministeve for the first map, and Hazardous for keeping this going.
    Though Ministeve made the first part of the map, the idea was in my head. He was kind
    enough to start us out. Its been a looooong year trying to get this thing done. In fact,
    I started this right about when I started mapping. I really have not done any mapping
    acheivements at all, so I hope this will be the first. Just a fun map.
    Here we give you now, a map a year in the making, ready finally for public view.

     Well *cough* apologies for being slow. Ouch! Don't hit me!
     If you find the text fades out too quickly, press the pause key as soon as it is fully
     visible.
     Then there's some eye-candy you might find nifty. Try to find all four random events. ;)
     I'd have loved to have much more detail in my entire part, but it certainly would have
     spoilt everything for some people, who do not buy new graficcards every half a year.
     Special thanks go out to CP and TMA, for positive feedback during the map-creation
     and to M_gargantua, for helping out with building the final room, so we were able to
     release without extra delay.

     So then ... enjoy!

     You better like my area of the map, or a monkey drinking coffee will go to your house,
     stab you with a screwdriver and then brutally rape you. Thankyou for your time.

     I am RabidMonkey and I made something for this map. Yeah, nifty eh? 

     I'm a mapper who hangs around in IRC answering questions and having mindless discussions
     with Hugh and Trapt or Ant whenever they're in. I am not, however, the stabbing, rapist,
     coffee-drinking monkey Trapt describes. Noooo....

 6. Things you are supposed (not) to do /

  - You MAY distribute these maps through any kind of electronical network for free, provided you
    make available the the full archive and do not change it, or any of the files it contains.
  - You ARE FORBIDDEN TO distribute any part of this archive in any commercial way, without explicit permission.
  - If you want to use any part of the map for your own purposes, do not rip it!
  - You may contact the author of the part and ask for the .rmf. Some might not want to release it,
    but can give you some helpfull hints instead.
  - We all know that ripping sux!
  - You may look forward to TWHLmix #2!
